Argentine Llamas
After many years in the llama business we have found
that Argentine llamas have everything we strive for in our herd. The
addition of the rare argentine genetics to our non argentine llamas has
also resulted in bigger bone structure, additional wool coverage and
improved dispositions. We are very excited about breeding these
"Awesome Argentines".

"Argentine Nevada Smith" is one awesome guy! He is a very
flashy young male with silky wool, gorgeous banana ears and fencepost
legs. Nevada has alot of growing time left and we except him to be one
big and wooly guy. This young man will be one to watch! |

"Argentine Lana" is a pure argentine juvenile
female llama. I am pretty sure she is going to be the woolliest llama on
our farm. Can you believe all the face wool she has at just 8 months of
age! Another great plus is that her disposition is as wonderful as her
beautiful fiber. Her dam, Argentine Ilona, is from the 2001 importation
and is the only Baldo offspring in the US that is reproducing.
Lana's sire, Argentine Midas, is the only full Argentine male out of
Argentine Oberon. Lana's dad is also one of the very few appy
Argentine males in the USA. Needless to say as far as bloodlines,
this is one special girl.

"Awesome" is a part (1/2) argentine female out of
Argentine Omar....described as
having fiber like black silk, fence post legs and
a lover boy.
This girl was shown on a very limited basis but has did very well in those few times, receiving 2
ALSA Reserve Championships. Awesome is now part of
our foundation herd. She just delivered her first cria, a precious
part argentine (3/4) female our of Argentine Mecurio, a silver argentine
stud. |

 |
"Angel" is stretchy and stylish with
excellent conformation. Her fiber is silky, soft and silver! Angel's
sire is Argentine Mecurio, a silver stud out of the well known Argentine
Don Zunca. This young lady has silver in her genetics, from sire and dam
and we are hoping she will produce some silver offspring. This
girl is an Angel! |
|
|
 |
"Justie"
is several months old and her awesome argentine traits are starting to
emerge....seems like she is getting more wool every day. This young
girl with her stretchy neck and silver tipped ears just gets cuter with
time. She gets her silver from her sire,
Argentine Mecurio. Justie is 3/4 argentine and with her silky heavy wool and good
conformation, she will be an asset to any llama breeding program. Her
genetics include the well known Argentine Don Zunca, Argentine Omar and
RAR Chilean Magnet. Her mom, Omar's Totally
Awesome, is a very striking tall red and black silky dam who received
two ALSA Reserve Championships with very limited showing.

"Velvet" is a big and beautiful part
argentine young llama. She has an exceptional attitude and is as
sweet as they come. She is so laid back you can halter her in the pasture,
pick up her feet, etc. She gets her sweet disposition from her sire,
Argentine Norino, along with her big
bone and fabulous wool. Velvet is bred to our tall full
Peruvian herdsire,
Pamero, for a fall 2008 baby. |

"Madena". Although Madenia is not argentine her sire, Rebano Escondido Costas,
was imported from the Altiplano and was one of the
Taylor's top Rebano males. Madena has very dense fiber which is found in the
Rebanos and Argentines. Her sire, on her
maternal side, Madena has the Fiduciary as her grandsire who holds all the
records for average and total selling price of offspring, sired the
highest selling female llama in history (Mirabelle, at $170,000 in 1989),
and has the most registered offspring on the ILR database. Needless to
say, this is one special girl with some rare genetics from her sire. She
is currently bred to our silky part argentine herdsire, Kobra's
Thunderbolt. |

"Dreamy"
is a 3/4 argentine stud and spectacular! He has an incredible
bloodline which includes
Argentine Don Zunca and
Kobra's Gwendolyn.
This special guy has beautiful silky fiber and magnificent bone. Dreamy
definitely has show presence and likes to strut his stuff....he
practically shows himself. And boy does he get the attention! We are
anxiously looking forward to seeing what this great guy
will produce in the future. Dreamy is truly a DREAM and we are ecstatic
to have him as one of our herdsires!
